An exceptional light sculpture

The Norwegian Design Council awarded the Diva lamp an Award for Design Excellence, which is well deserved, in our view, as the almost feminine curves of its 32 walnut-finish wood slats leave no-one indifferent.

The curves are rounded and incredibly delicate.

The designers of the Diva, inspired by the long Nordic tradition of laminated woodwork, have reinvented the way in which this material can be used.

The rounded metal base is elegant.

The base of the lamp is a satin-finish nickel disk with a metal rod in the centre that supports a sphere of frosted glass, like the Douglas light. The wooden casing placed on this base can be angled one way or another, to obtain a light sculpture with a broader upper or lower part.
The Diva has a transparent dimmer switch on its electrical cord, modern but with the eseence of vintage floor lamps. This means you can use it as the main source of lighting for a room, with a light bulb of up to 60 Watts, or solely as an ornamental lamp that spreads soft and diffuse light.
Works with a G9 halogen light bulb (supplied).
The Diva is also available as a pendant light, and in light wood. Prices and pictures upon request.
